Pictured are the booties-clad feet of Suburban’s office staffers from last October, along with the buttons they wore with the names of loved ones afflicted with the disease.

Smithtown, N.Y.-based Suburban Exterminating is putting its “pink” foot forward this October for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Suburban has a long history of involvement in the Long Island community and is partnering with the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. During the month of October, Suburban Exterminating will donate a portion of its sales and social media efforts to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund to enable the charity to continue with their important services.

As a part of their efforts to raise awareness of breast cancer, Suburban Exterminating employees will wear pink booties throughout the month of October. They will also hold a social media campaign under the hashtag “#SuburbanCares” where customers can take pictures of Suburban technicians wearing the booties and donations will be made for each post.
